Lyrics
TRAMPOLINE
My baby‘s name is Trampoline,
Not Carlotta not Rosita not Maybeline.
She was born in a trailer park in Ohio.
Her momma named her looking at her rear window
As long as Im around and Im on the scene
Ain’t Nobody gonna treat her mean Trampoline
I met her one day when the circus came to town
Her daddy was a barker and her mamma was a clown
They used to travel across the land
And when they hit town, well they needed a band
Around the corner come a limousine
Out steps that long legged redhead Trampoline
We got the circus from her ma and pa
We named the band Smitty’s Orchestra
And when we’re not out on the road,
We live in down in Gibbtown Florida.
We had a drummer bass and saxophone.
I played the organ and the slide trombone
Trampoline was seventeen and I was twenty one
We did not get serious till we had some fun
Somebody squeeze me I think it’s a dream
Oh my my my sweetie Trampoline
Well I never thought that this would be a career
Getting fat eating hotdogs and drinking beer.
I had to barely runn’in beat up pink station wagon
It sounded like a smoking coal miner’s hacking Trampoline
Well if you wanna have fun, you got to find a queen
Now everybody’s looking for my Trampoline
